The PLA is in pretty good position

Furthering the mass production of naval, air force, army, and second artillery would certainly be a godsend. As it stands now, China is not a military force to be reckoning with. As a leader of any country, standing in their shoes, there is just not much incentive in wanting to stare against this force. Pursuing global leadership and denying it from your competitors such the united states is a constant objective.

Thus any military or strategic decision that the Chinese hope to make, is good as any today as it is tomorrow. What difference does it make if the Chinese have 100,000 ICBMs tomorrow versus only 10,000 today. That is still a lot of nuclear power. I do not think anyone can even mass produce ICBMs like the Chinese.

Thus it would be advisable for the Chinese to take any assertive stance it wishes to make. Now is as good as time as any.

With exceptions to the RMB. There are some officials who believe that the RMB is a very important issue. Its not. This is not a fight worth fighting. When someone hands you cake. You take it. There is no reason to act like a bigger man just because he demands that you accept cake. The RMB should be defended, the currency should reflect China's strength rather than being suppressed. No effort should be made to intervene in the markets to prevent the RMB from depreciating, but no effort should be made to intervene to prevent the RMB from appreciating either.

Oh, the horror. Burying the americans with exports and trade deficits. I have to close my eyes, it is just too horrible to watch.

In all seriousness. All you are doing is making the lives of americans more comfortable and convenient.
